Sunday Services are simple and free of ritual. The major part of the service is taken up by a 'Lesson-Sermon' with readings from both the King James Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science. The readings can be studied during the week and give helpful, spiritual ideas that apply to daily life. The service also contains hymns, a solo and organ music.
The Wednesday Meeting includes hymns and readings from the Bible and Science and Health. There is a time set aside for anyone there to express gratitude for spiritual progress and healings, which they have experienced through the study of Christian Science.
Sunday School classes, for children and young people up to age of 20, are designed to meet the needs of each
student. Classes are based on the Bible. Students are taught the
Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer and its spiritual interpretation by Mary
Baker Eddy, and the Sermon on the Mount. And, there is always an emphasis on
the idea that everyone can practice the healing ideas discussed in class.
